Last weekend I snuck away for a long weekend in Copenhagen, with Giordie and a friend of hers from Australia! Copenhagen is one of my favourite cities and this was my third trip back. You can read all about my first visit to this beautiful city here. I love the contrast of old and new in Copenhagen. The new, modern architecture, although so different from the original buildings, seems to blend in seamlessly. If you’ve read some of my previous posts you’ll know that I love street art. Especially when it’s incorporated into older areas. Copenhagen has embraced street art and uses it to make the construction around the city come to life. This small city is full of colour and character and it makes me smile every time I’m there 🙂 Continue reading “Long Weekend in Copenhagen”
my first White Christmas
Growing up in Australia, I’ve always dreamed of having a White Christmas. Don’t get me wrong, I love Australian Christmases. We have plenty of our own traditions, like Carols by Candlelight, going to the beach, having a BBQ and Santa wearing shorts! It’s just that all the Christmas movies I watched as a kid, made celebrating Christmas in winter look so magical. Being able to rug up in cosy clothes and drink hot chocolates when it’s not 30 degrees outside. Ice skating, the snow falling and building snowmen. And my personal favourite, Christmas Jumpers 🙂 Continue reading “A White Christmas in Åre”

I knew before we got there that Bergen is one of the rainiest places in all of Europe. And of course, everything I wanted to do involved being outside! So instead of changing my plans, I packed wet weather gear, crossed my fingers and kept an eye on the weather forecast. Luckily the weather gods were on my side. It did rain two out of the three days we were there, but we managed to time our activities perfectly and only got rained on a few times. Continue reading “Three Days in Bergen, Norway”
